Bio

The best of both worlds...Born in Greenwich Village Jun. 3 1991 and raised everywhere between Hell’s Kitchen & Washington Heights, Shane Golden embodies all of the eclectic elements of a native New Yorker, which has added originality to his creativity as both a singer and actor.

Shane at an early age has modeled for Wilhemina and Ford, with clients such as Ralph Lauren, Toy’s R Us and Lay’s Potato Chips; he has done TV commercials for Soho Chocolate and Oscar Mayer; his stage credits include independent productions of Charlie Brown, Lion King, Out-of-Towners and New York New York; he is in the movie The Family Man, on the cover of Kid’s Magazine and has competed professionally in gymnastics and equestrian sports.

Accepted to Talent Unlimited high school (2005-2009), And now on a full academic scholarship at The New York Film Academy. He has explored the world of music, stage and film, developing and honing his own craft, in preparation for the launching of his starship. However, his artistic influences began at a fetal stage. His mother Francesca while pregnant would often visit her best friend Craig Handy an accomplished jazz saxophonist, during rehearsals. In doing so she introduced her baby boy to his first sessions of riffs and runs. Francesca continued to expose him as he grew to music of various genres and musicians from different generations. In fact it was while she worked as manager of Unique Recording Studios that Shane at age 12 filled in on the spot for Bruck Up, a Jamaican pop artist who needed a singer on his track. The talented young producer at the session Lazy Legz Dymond was awed by Shane’s vocal range and dexterity. Soon after, Shane became focused on his pursuit of polishing his talent. He first went on to study with renowned opera singer Vivian Mordo to add luster to the shine. Next Shane went on to study with reknown vocal and performance trainer Craig Derry. Craig has helped increase the soul and power in Shane’s voice and presence and currently continues to mentor him along his road to success.

Currently Shane is staring as Derek in the new High School web series "Which Way" as well as continuing to work on his debut album, Shane already has a few notches on his belt. Releasing singles in Japan such as “Let Me Know”, “Cake And Eat It 2” featuring Greg Nice, Shane has also had the opportunity to work alongside artists such as Fat Man Scoop and Stik-E and the Hoods.
