Bio: Dyris

Dyris Haywood is a gifted, multi-talented, and humble musical and athletic phenomenon. His artistic and athletic versatility are enviable traits many only wish for. In the very near future people all over the world will marvel at and appreciate his unique musical talent.

Dyris has been in music studios since birth. At the age of 11 Dyris released his first CD (Royalty#1). He has performed on the same bill with artist IMX and B2K, opened for Pretty Willie and Petey Pablo. He received acclaim from FOX television affiliated WTVW for "breathing life" into a promotion entitled "Matlock Hip-Hop". Dyris has musical talent inspired him to create tracks like I WHO IU Basketball, I WHO IU Soccer, and Money on the Wood.

Dyris athletic talents came blasting on the scene during his time at Oak Hill Middle School (Evansville, IN). As a eighth grader he broke three city middle school records in the 200 and 400 meter dash and the 100 meter hurdles to pace his team to a city championship. Dyris also won the AAU 400 meter dash and 100 meter hurdles championship in Indiana and finished in the top 20 in the nation in the 100 meter hurdles. He went on to Central High School where he was twice named All-State, All-conference, Allmetro Wide Receiver and Team MVP. He has signed a full athletic scholarship to play football at Indiana State University.

It has often been said that "the good fruit don't fall too far from the tree" and true to form Dyris inherited his God-given ability from his parents. His father, Talmon Haywood is an accomplished bass player, composer, and arranger, who worked with Johnny Taylor, Steve Harvey, David Hollister, and Dennis Edwards along with performing with countless others. His mother, Marcia Haywood was an accomplished track athlete who ran with Jackie Joyner-Kearse in high school in E. St. Louis, where she still holds records today.

Thanks to the loving parents and nurturing environment, Dyris is a true role model in a time where it is easy for young men to be fall by the wayside. His music is deeply rooted in the R&B vernacular while remaining true to the current Hip-Hop framework of modern music, producing a totally original sound that comes at you like a hurricane. In an era when talent is often times subsidized by hype machines and slick packaging, Dyris is the real deal.
